When author Olu Martins' 38-year old wife was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, his world turned upside down. How could a family who seemed to have it all-sucess, love, peace, and harmony-survive a sudden and tragic turn of events and yet mantain a sense of hope? The story, chronicled in A Journey Interrupted details the extraordinary journey traveled by the Martins family and how their faith in God led to spiritual victory.
"My book is particularly of benefit because it is a story of an average American family, one that most people can relate to, and what happened to us can happen to anyone", says Martins. "This book should be read by everyone because it will not only encourage them, it will also inspire them to live out their lives with more meaning and purpose.
After having traveled the world, Martins' eyes were opened up to diferent cultures, people, and religion. No matter where he went, though, people were basically the same. "we all experience pain, fear, hurts, and love, and we all aspire to be better than we are," says the author. With that in mind, Martins sat down to write this story hoping that his family's experience would help and encourage others in similiar situations.
Olu Martins lives with his two sons in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he runs a financial planning business.
